“ Absolutely fabulous food and a great location. Small and quiet spot right along the river that makes you feel special. The focaccia bread is the best I've ever had, I wish I had ordered just that for dinner. Excellent service and an excellent experience overall. ”
“ This is a small but outstanding steak restaurant. The chateaubriand was the best steak I've had. Its in the same price range as Gaucho and Goodmans but the quality is certainly right up there and possibly better. Definitely worth a visit. ”
“ Biltong and steak was all great but the Alex salad was delicious, sauce are all good too wish the bread was warm rather then cold though ”
“ A lovely meal at High Timer where the food is excellent. Personally I had the cod which was very tasty but most in our party had steak which I was told was delicious. We dined outside on a glorious summers evening and watched the full moon pass the Shard. Starters was smoked salmon and the desert was a superb malva pudding. There is a wide choice of food to suit your taste but if you prefer the taste of South Africa you will not be disappointed. The wine cellar has a large selection of wines and the ambience of the restaurant is subtle African. A very nice night out in the heart of the city with superb views along the Thames. ”
“ Absolutely fantastic ribeye washed down with Merlot, accompanied by both spinach and tomato salad. Emma from Dublin was our server and overall 10/10 ”
“ Everything was 5 star. The ambiance, service and food were outstanding. The manager let my wife try a few wines before she decided what to order. The place is expensive (70 each) but worth it. I included a pic of our Pancetta desert. ”
“ Honestly this place is great. Location is a bit off the main road but directly by the river walk which is really enjoyable. Their steack selection is brilliant and perfectly cooked. Finally the service is perfectly spot on. Got really disappointed with a local brandy and it was replaced with something immediately. Will be really happy to come back. ”
“ Love this restaurant, amazing food, wine and service. You come for the steak but the bread is the best ever as is the salad. Hugely enjoyed our lunch and would definitely recommend. Can't wait to come back. ”
